Follow Your Arrow UK
UK and Irish Country Artists: Round 1
Hi everybody,
I hope for those that enjoyed C2C earlier this month had a fantastic time if you were lucky enough to go. The last few weeks have been pretty hectic for me both personally and professionally (I'm a marketing manager for a tourist attraction outside Follow Your Arrow) and to help get me through this chaotic period I've been listening to some of our U.K. and Irish country artists.
We all love the music from Nashville but there's some wonderful homegrowns artists which have emerged in the huge growth of the genre over the last few years. In this first round, here's some U.K. and Irish artists to listen to and some of my favourite tracks. In no particular order...
The Shires
You may have been living under a rock if you haven't heard the music of Ben Earle and Crissie Rhodes aka The Shires.
Top 3 tracks: Nashville Grey Skies, Made in England and Accidentally on Purpose

Ward Thomas
Twin sister Catherine and Lizzy make the wonderful duo Ward Thomas and have helped make country music more mainstream and popular in the UK. They create some beautiful and poignant lyrics in their music.
Top 3 tracks: Guilty Flowers, No Filter, Boomerang

Una Healy
Irish singer songwriter and one fifth The Saturday's, Una Healy is making music and will be the host of the new Country Hits Radio. Her voice is simply beautiful.
Top 3 tracks: Stay My Love, Strangers, Staring At The Moon

The Wandering Hearts
Our love feels like Fire and Water... oh how I love those lyrics! This London-based band is making some serious waves on the country, indie and Americana music scene.
Top 3 tracks: Fire And Water, Wild Silence, If I Fall

Katy Hurt
This month has been busy for Katy Hurt with the release of new music with Unplugged. Check out this vibrant, soulful and sassy young lady.
Top 3 tracks: See Ya Later, Natchez, Revved Up

Enjoy listening to our home-grown artists, I'll be featuring more artists soon.
Have an amazing week!
